Old school, here. I do like my lists, but this is one I haven't thought about:
1. Starsiege Tribes [why I love on-line multiplayer -- 32v32!! ---although #2 was sad]
2. Civilization
3. Legend of Zelda [a lot of game-time, but it's all single player --not so much replay-ability]
4. Red Faction [even though #1 was PS only --Guerilla is awesome.]
5. Prince of Persia [started playing in 1991 --a lot of people never played PoP 3D, now like 10 games in 'the series']
Uh-oh, I had to revise. I took so much time writing, I forgot the Thread is "top 5." Here's what else I thought of:
6. Halo [I've never played on-line multiplayer (spoiled by Tribes). #1 was the best & awesome on PC. #s 1 & 3 good enough to make up for the flaws in #2.]
7. Timesplitters [although the gunsights/aiming in #2 were all messed up & #1 was PS]
8. SystemShock ---Bioshock was supposed to be 'a tribute,' but ended up being more of a 'remake/rewritting.'
9. Donkey Kong ---I keep trying to figure out how to program the sFx & music, for ring-tones.
